Don’t miss me

I don’t want anyone to miss me.
Never;
For I know how it feels
To notice an empty seat beside in the theatre
And immediately smile at the flashbacks.
It cringes deep inside, doesn’t it?
For I know how lonely it feels
When you want to share something with them
But the vague feeling crawls by
“They’re not a part of my life anymore.”
For I know how haunted those lanes feel
By the ghost of memories
Where two footsteps had always walked,
Just by yours.
I don’t want anyone to miss me.
And I do all I can,
To prove my will to stay.
Call it my kindness or foolishness,
But I don’t want anyone to miss me.
I stand by them, call them, talk to them,
Make them feel loved and most importantly,
Trust them.
Trust them that in return,
They too will never let me miss them.
But the habit of ruining doesn’t leave people alone,
The habit of leaving doesn’t skip a soul.
No matter how much I try to float,
In this tide of uninvited memories, I have always drowned more than I ever rose.
